The Vision of the Western Studies Institute is to be the preeminent organization facilitating dialogue and critical thinking, collaboration, and mutual understanding between the Western and Islamic Worlds in these three broadly define professional and academic areas.

Programs offered by the WSI are of the highest quality and advance the WSI's mission and aspirations.

• Short conferences and workshops on specific topics of mutual interest to targeted professionals and scholars.

• Short, intensive courses of two to four weeks on specific topics of interest to professionals and scholars in the United States and Saudi Arabia.

• Travel courses, residencies and job shadowing opportunities of one to four weeks on topics of specific interest to scholars and professionals in the United States and Saudi Arabia.

• Full credit-bearing courses are offered in collaboration with top-quality universities in the United States, Europe and Saudi Arabia.

• Intensive English language and Arabic language courses with specific attention to language acquisition in the three areas of focus of the WSI (law, business and religion).

• Translations of essential texts in the three focus areas into Arabic mainly from English, but also from German and French.
